Residents of the São José branch, located in the municipality of Careiro Castanho, in the metropolitan region of Manaus, are isolated after a landslide on the road. The landslide occurred on a road that is used as an alternative route for BR-319, according to community members. As the embankment fell, the road was closed.
According to residents, the closure of the road also interferes with the lives of 11 other communities close to the branch, which are located within Lake Janauacá.

“We call on the competent authorities to take urgent action, because school transport and ambulances travel here, in addition to the producer who sells his products”, said businessman Edmilton Reis.
