The Public Security Secretariat of Tocantins (SSP/TO) informed that from April 8th, next Monday, public service at the Identification Institute will be carried out at the 1st Civil Police Service Center, in a manner provisional, located on block 1201 Sul, on Avenida Joaquim Teotônio Segurado.
According to the SSP, the change occurs due to the renovation of the Institute’s headquarters, which will guarantee improvements in the structure and service offered to Palmenses seeking to issue a National Identity Card.
The population will still be able to go to the other Identification Centers in the municipality, located in the Legislative Assembly of Tocantins, Detran and, in Taquaruçu, to request an identity document.
The director of the Identification Institute, Elaine Monteiro Tonon, reinforces that the change is necessary as it will bring improvements to the community itself. “We know that initially there may be some inconvenience, but I reiterate that the services will not stop at any time. Soon the headquarters of the Identification Institute will be ready to serve the population of Palmas and the region with greater quality and speed,” she said.

The Identification Institute reinforces that to access the National Identity Card in Palmas, it is necessary to make an appointment through the Tocantins Public Security Secretariat website (https://iito.ssp.to.gov.br/servicos ).
Scheduling is weekly and opens every Friday, starting at 2 pm. At this time, new spaces are released for scheduling and subsequent service for the following week.
