The MS Alfabetiza program will have 2,050 scholarships worth up to R$1,400 for teachers and tutors in the State, according to a decree from the SED-MS (State Department of Education of Mato Grosso do Sul), published this Tuesday ( 2) in the Official State Gazette.

The decree regulates the payment of scholarships to public servants designated to work and participate in programs, courses and projects related to the development and maintenance of basic education in the State.

Previously, there were 767 scholarships for the program. Now, the 2,050 scholarships will be allocated to student tutoring in state civic-military schools (50 scholarships of R$800); pedagogical coordinator for the restoration of learning (1,400 grants of R$250); state trainer of basic education projects and programs (20 grants of R$1,200); mentor teacher (25 grants of R$600).

In addition to two more scholarships for the State Coordinator of the MS Alfabetiza Program, worth R$1,400; 22 for Regional Articulator of the MS Alfabetiza Program (R$ 1.2 thousand); 81 grants for Municipal Coordinator of the MS Alfabetiza Program (R$ 1 thousand) and 450 grants for Municipal Trainer of the MS Alfabetiza Program (R$ 800.00).

The MS Alfabetiza Program – Everyone for Children’s Literacy was established by Law no. 5724, of September 23, 2021, from the government of Mato Grosso do Sul, through SED-MS.

The main objective is to strengthen learning and improve the educational indicators of students enrolled in public education networks in Mato Grosso do Sul, with coordination and tutorials for the progression of learning from literacy to reading training and consolidation of writing.
