After weeks of intense rains that affected several regions of the state, Mato Grosso receives news that brings some relief: according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), warnings of potential danger from intense rains are receding, indicating a possible decrease in the intensity of precipitation for the next few days.

During the alert period, rainfall in the state could reach up to 50 mm per day, accompanied by strong winds of up to 60 km/h. Municipalities such as Cáceres and Jaciara, which were previously affected by intense rains, must remain on alert.

Despite the forecast of milder rains, the heat persists in the region. In the capital, Cuiabá, maximum temperatures are expected to reach 34°C by the end of the week, while the days will remain cloudy, with isolated rain showers and moderate or weak winds.

In Cáceres, the rains should also ease throughout the week, with light winds and a maximum temperature of 34°C. However, in the north of the state, in municipalities such as Alta Floresta, intense rains will continue throughout the week, and may even cause thunderstorms at the end of the week, keeping the maximum temperature at around 34°C.

The population is warned about the necessary precautions in case of storms, such as avoiding taking shelter under trees and unplugging electronic devices to prevent damage. Civil Defense recommends that people stay at home during periods of heavy rain.
