A two-year-old child was rescued by military police when he had a seizure episode. According to agents, the vehicle was patrolling BR-316, in Ananindeua, Greater Belém.

According to the Military Police (PM), who confirmed the case this Monday (29), during preventive patrols along the highway, near km 8 and Avenida Zacarias de Assunção, the team came across a desperate woman asking for help.

She said her two-year-old daughter was having a seizure. According to the woman, the child became unconscious at times.

The police officers reported that they helped the child and, realizing the seriousness of the situation, quickly took her, together with her mother, to an emergency unit, where she was treated by a doctor.

“The professional carried out the first resuscitation procedures, thus stabilizing the child’s health condition”, added the PM.

The police officers are part of the Special Independent Assistance Police Company (CIEPAS), a unit of the Military Police (PM) that works around the clock with an emphasis on protecting vulnerable groups.

In similar cases, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) can be called by calling 192 and responds to clinical emergencies.
