This Tuesday (2), Viação Pioneira presents 10 new articulated buses, which are part of the renewal of the public transport fleet in the DF. The vehicles are being displayed at Eixão Sul, in the section between blocks 6 and 10, until 10 am.

The new articulated vehicles will replace vehicles that circulate on the BRT lines from Gama and Santa Maria to Plano Piloto. According to the DF Secretary of Transport and Mobility, Zeno Gonçalves, there is still no deadline for the vehicles to enter into operation.
“These are new vehicles that have just arrived in Brasília, and will now undergo inspections, registration, adjustments by the validators and necessary measures to be inserted into the system”, explained the secretary of Semob. According to him, the arrival of the vehicles demonstrates the effort of the government and operators to continue renewing the fleet.
Semob’s Undersecretary of Operations, Márcio Antônio de Jesus, informed that area 2 of public transport in the DF has a fleet of 704 vehicles. The 10 new articulated vehicles will replace the articulated vehicles that operate on the BRT.
“As soon as these new vehicles have their documentation ready, we will be able to start operating on the BRT system, both on Gama and Santa Maria lines”, explained the undersecretary.
The new articulated vehicles are part of the 195 vehicles acquired by the dealership for fleet renewal and expansion and are all equipped with Euro 6 technology, less polluting and with technological advances in safety and comfort. The buses have doors that only open when the vehicle is stationary, electric doors with an anti-crush system, accessibility with a low floor, camera systems, among others.
