Federal deputy André Janones announced the construction of the first “City of Sports” in Minas Gerais. The sports complex will be built in Ituiutaba, the parliamentarian’s hometown, and will feature a large structure.
The announcement was made by Janones during the official opening of the Workers’ Party 2024, held on the night of the 25th, in Campo do Bairro Sol Nascente. “The Sports City will have 100% of investments within our mandate. We are going to build a sports complex with a running track, swimming pool and other water sports, as well as multi-sports courts”, declared the deputy.
Janones chose Ituiutaba to be the first city in Minas to receive the “City of Sports”, but his objective is to expand the project to other regions of the state. “Sport is social inclusion and a practice that brings great benefits to the people. I personally love sports like football and street running. My mandate will always be available to encourage the practice of all sports,” said Janones.
Campo do Sol Nascente, the football stage at the 2024 Workers’ Party, also received investments from André Janones’ mandate, undergoing a recent renovation that brought a new structure for holding games, including at night, as well as spaces for entertainment.
The Labor Day commemorative event, celebrated on May 1st, also has resources allocated by André Janones to Ituiutaba, offering 320 thousand reais in prizes, in addition to shows with Dennis DJ and João Gomes.
