More than 50 international undergraduate, master’s and doctorate scholarships are open in PB

More than 50 international undergraduate, master’s and doctorate scholarships were announced by the government of Paraíba this Monday (1st). The opportunities are part of three notices from the Paraíba Without Borders Program (PBsF).

The notices will be available this Tuesday (2), on the website of the Research Support Foundation of the State of Paraíba, at fapesq.rpp.br.

Undergraduate scholarships

For graduation, 31 places are being offered, distributed as follows:

11 places at Mondragón University, in Spain;

20 places for the Warwickshire College And University Center in the United Kingdom.

For Mondragón, the candidate will receive financial support for installation, travel, health, teaching materials and consular services. The areas of engineering and technology are highlighted; education; communication; humanities and business.

For the Warwickshire College University Center and the University Centre, vacancies are in the following areas: Business and Management; Computer Networks and Cybersecurity; Development and education in the early years; Sustainable Horticulture. For Warwickshire College And University Centre, the candidate will receive tuition and assistance for stay, travel, installation, health and teaching materials.

In this modality, students from public higher education institutions in Paraíba that have joined the Paraíba without Borders program can participate in the selection, such as Instituto Federal da Paraíba (IFPB), Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG ) and State University of Paraíba (UEPB).

Master’s and doctoral scholarships

There are 20 places for master’s and sandwich doctorates, 10 for each. For postgraduate studies, students from public universities and Unipê and Facene/Famene can participate in the selection.

For scholarships relating to the sandwich master’s degree, the mobility period must last a maximum of 90 days, but may be shorter than that.

For sandwich doctorate scholarships, the mobility period must last a maximum of 180 days, which may be shorter or extendable for the same period.

The amounts awarded will cover the scholarship holder’s maintenance expenses in the destination country, such as: monthly fees; permanence assistance; travel assistance; installation assistance; health insurance assistance.

How to apply for scholarships

To register, the student must fill out the form available at SIGFAPESQ, at https://sigfapesq.ledes.net/, and present a study plan, a model available in the Fapesq registration system. Benefits do not depend on the socioeconomic conditions of the candidates.

The start of activities abroad is scheduled for the second half of 2024 for most courses. The maximum duration is one academic semester.
