In the first two months of 2024, bets placed in Santa Catarina on Caixa Lotteries yielded just over R$30.9 million to players, including all modalities.
More than half of this value comes from a single game: Lotofácil. With draws every day paying million-dollar prizes, the modality paid out R$16.5 million, more than the “darling” Mega-Sena.
With no winner from Santa Catarina out of the six dozen in 2024, Mega-Sena paid “only” R$8 million this year.
In just one contest in 2024, for example, the mega prize was R$205 million, won by a bet from Recife (PE).

The winner has up to 90 calendar days, from the date of the draw, to receive it. After this period, the award expires and the amount is transferred to the Student Financing Fund (FIES).
In the case of prizes of up to R$2,112.00, as in other competitions, the amounts can be received at lottery outlets.
Amounts equal to or above R$10,000 are paid within a minimum period of two business days after the winner presents himself at an agency.
