This Wednesday, the duo André and George secured their place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and will represent Brazil in beach volleyball in July.

Qualification for the Olympics came after the duo Pedro Solberg and Guto decided not to participate in the Elite 16 stage of the Beach Volleyball World Circuit, in Brasília. With this, André and George will no longer be reached in the ranking among Brazilians.

Together since 2019, the two will compete in the Olympics for the first time in their careers.

There is still one Olympic spot left for a men’s pair. Pedro and Guto still have a chance of going to Paris, but they need to surpass the duo Evandro and Artur Lanci, who occupy second place in the ranking.

In the women’s group, the two pairs that will represent Brazil have already been defined. Duda/Ana Patrícia and Bárbara/Carol will take the court to fight for an Olympic medal.

The Brasília stage of the World Circuit takes place between the 1st and 5th of May, at Parque da Cidade. The competition earns points in the classification for Paris 2024.
