The ‘European winter’ climate is expected to remain in the capital throughout the Easter weekend. The forecast is from the Clima Tempo website, which points out that, in addition to the pleasant temperature, the rains are also expected to continue over the weekend, with a probability of up to a 90% chance of rain. In recent days, Cuiabá has been ‘soaked’ due to the amount of rain, and this explains the alert that the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued. There were two warnings for Mato Grosso, a yellow one (potential danger and intense rains) that covers the entire southern part of the state, and an orange alert (danger and intense rains), which covers the majority of the state.
Rainfall of 30 to 100 mm/h of water and intense winds are expected, reaching 100 km/h. In addition, Inmet warns of possible flooding, electrical discharges and falling trees. See the instructions provided by the agency on how to protect yourself in critical moments.
