Brazilian Thiago Wild will face one of the toughest games of his career this Sunday. After winning two matches in the main draw, the man from Paraná faces none other than the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, current number three in the world, this Saturday, in the third round of the Madrid Open 2024, in Spain. Wild got past Roman Safiullin in the first round (6/4 and 6/4), and Lorenzo Musetti (6/4 and 6/4) in the second round. Alcaraz, seeded number two in the tournament, rested in the opening round and beat Alexander Shevchenko (6/2 and 6/1) in a match valid for the second round of the competition.
