At around 11:45 pm this Wednesday, a family living on Rua Procópio Gomes, Ferroviária, was abruptly interrupted by a traumatic event. While watching television, they were surprised by the break-in of the front door of their residence. Hooded individuals invaded the place demanding the car keys, and the situation quickly escalated to violence, culminating in a tragedy.

The resident couple was brutally attacked by the invaders, resulting in a tragic outcome with a large-caliber weapon being shot at the man, who died at the scene. The official identification of the victim will be confirmed by the expert who worked at the scene and who will make a statement this Thursday morning.
After the incident, the attackers fled the scene, following General Osório Street until entering a nearby bar. However, the quick response of the Military Brigade allowed the arrest of the suspects. After capture, the individuals were initially taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and, later, to the police station for legal procedures.
