Ryan’s companion reported to the Military Police that they decided to sleep at the motel to travel the next day and invited three friends. The woman also said that, after taking drugs, they were talking and one of the friends pulled out a gun and shot his partner twice in the head.
The Military Police reported that the three male friends of the couple fled on two motorcycles and have not yet been found. The woman was taken to Police Headquarters to give a statement.
Drug delivery and in-room shuttle
In a statement to the police, a motel employee reported that the couple arrived in a car using an app. Shortly after entering the room, Ryan left to receive a package delivered by a woman on a motorcycle, to the motel door. The companion told the police that she was a drug addict. Upon returning, he asked reception if he could have more people in the room.
The woman said in the statement that Ryan made contact with a 16-year-old teenager to go there to consume Rohypnol, concaine and marijuana. The teenager would have invited two other men and the three arrived at the motel on two motorcycles.
The shots were reportedly fired by one of these men, identified only as Abraão. During the conversation, he suddenly stood up, pulled out a gun and fired the first shot. When he was leaving the room he returned and fired the second shot towards the victim’s head. She said there was no fight or argument and she does not know what motivated Abraão to fire the shots.
The woman stated that, in addition to the minor, Ryan knew Abraão and they always got together to use drugs. The motel employee said he heard the two bangs and then saw the men leaving the place nervous and in a hurry, one of them with a gun on his waist.
