This rain occurs due to the presence of heat and humidity, associated with a trough, that is, an elongated area of ​​low pressure, which favors the conditions for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind, and possible falls. of hail, for all regions, but especially from the Far West to the South Coast, where the risk is moderate for events related to storms. In other regions the risk is low.

Minimum temperatures vary from 12°C to 16°C across the state, and maximum temperatures can reach 32°C, especially in the Far West.

What is the weather like for the rest of the weekend?

On Friday (29), the coast and nearby areas will once again have a greater presence of clouds, and there are conditions for light and occasional rain, early in the morning. In the rest of the state, the sun predominates and favors the rise in temperature.

From the afternoon onwards, the heat combined with the available humidity and the trough again form areas of instability that cause rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, which start in the West and extend to close to the Coast. The risk is moderate to occasionally high for events related to storms, flooding and occasional flash floods.

Minimum temperatures at dawn vary between 11°C and 16°C in the plateaus and 16°C and 21°C in other regions. In the afternoon, maximum temperatures vary between 28°C and 32°C in much of the State, with the Southern Plateau remaining at values ​​between 24°C and 27°C, according to forecasts from the State’s Civil Defense.

On Saturday (30), the weather should include sunshine and varying clouds throughout Santa Catarina, with light and isolated rain at the ends of the day on the coast and in nearby areas, due to maritime circulation.

On Sunday (31), Easter, the formation of a cold front in Rio Grande do Sul concentrates instability and humidity in the neighboring state, favoring the predominance of sunshine in Santa Catarina during the day, but the weather changes at the end of the period with the approach of the system that causes rain and storms in areas bordering the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
