HMD announced, this Friday (26), the launch of a new version of the Nokia 220 4G. The simple cell phone is presented with a renewed look, bigger battery and more space in the integrated storage to store photos, videos and much more.
The Nokia 220 4G (2024) is equipped with a 2.8-inch screen, which is slightly larger compared to the model launched in 2019. The panel technology is IPS LCD, and as expected, there is no touch sensitivity. The model has a physical numeric keypad with shortcuts, controls for answering or declining voice calls, navigation and more.
Under the hood, the phone offers 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of internal storage. There is a platform compatible with 4G network technology, ensuring calls with higher audio quality. For this, there is a slot with space for two Nano SIM cards. The Nokia 220 4G also supports automatic phone call recording.
It is also possible to access the web through the browser pre-installed in the operating system. Other integrated applications are the famous “snake game”, calendar, music player and measurement converter. Furthermore, the cell phone supports payments through the Alipay network, owned by the Alibaba group, which operates in China.
Another highlight is the support for FM radio. With this, you can connect a headphone to the 3.5 mm port (P2 standard) to listen to music, live programs and much more. Another option is to connect accessories wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0. The battery has a capacity of 1,450 mAh and is recharged via a USB-C port.
The Nokia 220 4G (2024) will be launched on April 29 in China, with availability in the country’s main retailers. There are two color options: black and red. O Suggested price is ¥299 (about R$210).
