Marielle case: investigations try to hear new witnesses to clarify the man’s motivations

The ongoing investigations trying to clarify details about the deaths of councilor Marielle Franco and Anderson Gomes are focused on hearing witnesses and suspects who have not yet been found. Investigators are verifying situations that could help to better clarify the motivations for ordering the crime.

Furthermore, there is an attempt to investigate further signs of manipulation and sabotage of the Civil Police investigation into the crime.

The final report by the Federal Police (PF), presented to the Federal Supreme Court (STF), points to a set of signs involving political disputes and greed for real estate developments in militia areas, which would be of interest and influence to the Brazão brothers.

In the statement, the confessed killer states that the Brazão brothers offered him payment in land for a subdivision, which never got off the ground, and command of paramilitary groups. This also did not happen because there was no time to make this award possible, according to Ronnie Lessa’s confessions.
