The Civil Police of Espírito Santo (PCES), through the Center for Intelligence and Telematic Analysis (CIAT) Norte and the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP) of São Mateus, in cooperation with the Military Police of the State of Bahia ( PMBA), arrested a 31-year-old man, with an outstanding arrest warrant for double homicide, which occurred in the Liberdade neighborhood, in the municipality of São Mateus.
The action took place last Wednesday (20), in the rural area of Alcobaça, in the State of Bahia, where a firearm, ammunition and devices for loading cartridges were also seized.
The arrest was carried out by the Bahia Police, after investigations carried out by teams from CIAT Norte and the Undersecretariat of Intelligence of the Secretariat of Justice (Sejus) indicated the whereabouts of the fugitive. He was hiding in the Banco de Areia community, in the rural area of the city of Alcobaça, in Bahia.
The captured man is being investigated for the murder of Victorio Augusto and Pedro dos Santos Pinto, which occurred in November 2023, in the Liberdade neighborhood, in São Mateus. Furthermore, during the arrest, two firearms, ammunition and material for reloading cartridges from the individual’s possession were seized.
After his arrest, the man was sent to the Bahia prison system, remaining at the disposal of the Justice Department.
