Investigated for fraud, Jair Renan joins the PL and launches a pre-candidacy for councilor in SC | VGN

Jair Renan, “zero four” son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), joined the PL this Monday (25.03) and announced his pre-candidacy for councilor for Balneário Camboriú, a city on the coast of Santa Catarina.

The announcement was made alongside the state governor, Jorginho Mello, in a post on social media, while he is being investigated for money laundering, ideological falsehood and alleged influence peddling.

“Compatriots from the south, I want to inform all of you that today I joined the PL, I am a pre-candidate for councilor in Balneário Camboriú. I want to thank governor Jorginho Mello for this great honor of being part of the PL team”, stated Renan.

Fraud investigations

Bolsonaro’s youngest son is the target of investigations for allegedly using a document with false information about his company, Bolsonaro Jr. Eventos e Mídia, to obtain a bank loan, which was not paid.

Last week, the now pre-candidate was denounced by the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories for crimes against the tax system, ideological falsehood and use of a false document.
