The 2024 “Green April” campaign will be launched in Sergipe on April 1st, at the headquarters of the Public Ministry of Labor in Sergipe (MPT/SE), at Avenida Desembargador Maynard, 72, Bairro Cirurgia, at 7 pm. As a symbol of the campaign, which aims to alert the population that work accidents do not occur by chance, but through neglect, the MPT/SE building will be lit in green, officially opening actions to prevent work accidents in the State.
During the month of April, public bodies and institutions engage in issues related to workplace accidents, joining the Abril Verde campaign as a way of promoting awareness about the importance of the safety and health of Brazilian workers. In Sergipe, other buildings belonging to public bodies and institutions will be lit up in green throughout the month of April, which was the month chosen for this campaign as the 28th is marked by the celebration of “World Day for Safety and Health at Work”.
The action is carried out by the Interinstitutional Working Group of the 20th Region (Getrin20), with the support of the TRT of the 20th Region (TRT/SE), through the Regional Work Accident Prevention Program (Safe Work); from MPT/SE; the Federal Attorney General’s Office (AGU); the National Social Security Institute (INSS); the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE); the Brazilian Bar Association, Sergipe Section (OAB/SE); the Government of Sergipe; from the Social Service of Industry (SESI) and the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS).
