From April onwards, Latam Brasil will increase by 20% the number of flights operated on 28 domestic routes. The increase, which represents 165 more flights per weekaims to meet the heated demand in the country.

The states with the biggest increases, excluding São Paulo and the Federal District, where the hubs of Latam in Brazil, are Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, both with 21 new weekly flights. Next come Santa Catarina, with 19, Minas Gerais and Paraná (16), and Ceará (14).

The increase includes investment in the new route Congonhas-Caxias do Sulwhich will open at the beginning of April with 5 weekly flights, and the resumption of the route Vitória-Rio de Janeiro/Galeãowith 2 daily flights.

“The increase in demand and the sustainability of our operation allows us to increase flights to benefit those who still need to plan their business or leisure trip this year”, says the Director of Sales and Marketing at Latam Brasil, Aline Mafra.

Heated demand

Latam recorded an 8% increase in operations in the national territory in 2023 compared to 2022. To meet this demand, 15 of the 17 new planes received by the Latam Group last year were directed to the company’s Brazilian operation.

Latam expects the arrival of more planes and growth of 7% to 9% in its domestic operations in Brazil in 2024 compared to 2023. Throughout the year, the company will add more than 3 million seats in the country.
