Health Control and Assessment Center arrives at Novo HGG – Campos 24 Horas

Patients at the Hospital Geral de Guarus (HGG) have, since the end of April, benefited from an innovative service that has facilitated the continuity and monitoring of their health after hospital discharge. From now on, they are already scheduled for outpatient care, so that they can take the next steps to promote health care. An extension of the Health Department’s Control and Evaluation Center, the department responsible for scheduling, began operating at the hospital. (Read more below)

Superintendent of HGG, Vitor Mussi highlights that this is an innovation that seeks to embrace the patient and care for them as a whole, a goal of this political management of Campos and also of the New HGG. “It’s a service that puts the patient and their health as a priority, which prevents them from getting lost along the way or even giving up on continuing treatment after an emergency discharge, for example. Another benefit is that, by receiving preventive care, in an elective way, it avoids a future emergency in which he would certainly be more weakened”, says Vitor. (Read more below)

For HGG’s clinical director, Luisa Barreto, the patient’s needs after discharge are observed and directed by the medical team, in the flow of care. “We have cases in which the patient underwent emergency surgery and, upon his arrival, we discovered that he needs to treat high blood pressure or we diagnosed a heart problem. He will be automatically referred to these new treatments”, says the doctor. (Read more below)

In the first weeks, the Center promoted the scheduling of pediatric, geriatric, neurosurgery consultations, screening for programs such as Proapar, Hiperdia and exams.
