Through social media, Grupo Molejo’s communications team reported that it was the victim of a robbery on Friday night. The press office had left Hospital Unimed, in Barra, where vocalist Anderson Leonardo died, when they had to stop in a traffic jam near Espaço Hall, also in the West Zone. According to information, only advisor Andreia’s cell phone was stolen. An online incident report was subsequently made.

The team reported that, when they were stopped in traffic, an armed man approached Andreia and took her cell phone. Afterwards, he would have fled into the surrounding woods.
After the crime, they went to the 32nd DP (Taquara), where the agents advised them to register online.
The robbery took place on the same day that the death of singer Anderson Leonardo was announced. The 51-year-old Molejo singer had been hospitalized for more than a month due to treatment for inguinal cancer (in the groin area). From last Sunday, however, his health worsened.
On Friday afternoon, the group Molejo confirmed the singer’s death on social media:
“Our warrior ANDERSON LEONARDO fought bravely, but unfortunately was defeated by cancer, but he will always be remembered by all his family, friends and his immense legion of fans, for his genius, strength and love of the stage and MOLEJO. His presence and joy were a light that illuminated the lives of everyone around him, and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten, we love you.”
Anderson Leonardo’s body will be buried this Sunday (28), at the Jardim da Saudade Cemetery, in Sulacap, in the West Zone of Rio. The wake is scheduled to start at 11 am. The burial at 4pm.
