The president of the Court of Auditors of the State of Paraíba (TCE-PB), advisor Antônio Nominando Diniz, issued a statement calling on managers and internal controllers to participate in the National Public Transparency Program.

The deadline for completing the questionnaire must be until June 10, 2024. According to the letter issued on May 8, 2024, the National Public Transparency Program is in its third cycle, bringing methodological improvements based on previous experiences, contributions from Audit Court technicians and the adoption of methodologies from other similar institutions.

The president highlighted the importance of free access to information, citing constitutional provisions and the Access to Information Law. The active participation of managers and internal controllers is essential to guarantee transparency and accountability to society.

In this way, TCE-PB reinforces its commitment to transparency and good management of public resources, inviting those responsible to contribute to the National Public Transparency Program, strengthening democratic principles and accountability in the public sector.

To this end, the Internal Controller of the management unit should preferably carry out an assessment of the transparency of the respective body, by completing the questionnaire available in the form at the link (https://www.avalia.atricon.org.br/)

When accessing the link, the user must register to receive access information.

The portals will be evaluated and classified based on the indices obtained, which range from 0 to 100% transparency.

A guide was launched by the Audit Courts to guide the inspection of public internet portals, and can be adopted as a manual by managers interested in applying best practices for disseminating information to citizens. This work, called “Access to information in practice: guidelines for citizens, public managers and Audit Courts”, which shows, in a didactic and detailed way, the transparency criteria, the scoring methodology and the certification system for institutional websites evaluated by the Courts of Accounts, already covers the requirements of the New Tenders Law, the General Data Protection Law, the Digital Government Law, the Amendment to the Constitution no. 105, among others, and can be accessed at the link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Jk26KAgDaP9-eST-7svpmHhj93NrLwAu

The National Public Transparency Program is an initiative promoted by Atricon with the Audit Courts of the State of Mato Grosso (TCE-MT) and the Union (TCU), with the support of the Rui Barbosa Institute (IRB), the Brazilian Association of Courts of Municipal Accounts (Abracom), the National Council of Presidents of the Audit Courts (CNPTC) and the National Council of Internal Control (Conaci).
