Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton do not want to be visited by Prince Harry in the near future. Friends close to the trio told the Daily Beast website the motivations behind the couple’s preference for distancing themselves from Harry following the revelation of the princess’s cancer diagnosis.
It is worth remembering that Harry made a “back and forth” between the United States and England last January, when his father, King Charles III, made his cancer diagnosis public. According to Daily Beast sources, William and Middleton would prefer that the British monarch’s youngest son not do the same for the princess.
According to English press sources, William and Middleton “do not want the drama that a visit from Harry would bring”. The couple’s idea is to preserve their privacy during their treatment. They remain suspicious about possible exposure resulting from Harry’s visit.
The Daily Beast’s contacts have reported that William and Middleton have lost trust in Harry over the past few years. He resigned from his British royal duties in January 2020. Since then, he has made several public criticisms of the royals.
Harry and his wife, actress and Duchess Meghan Markle, gave a controversial interview to presenter Oprah Winfrey in 2021. The artist said that she cried in an argument with Middleton on the eve of her wedding in 2018. Afterwards, they made new criticisms in the documentary series ‘Harry & Meghan’.
Then, in January 2023, Harry published his memoir, ‘What’s Left’, with new questions surrounding the dynamics of the Royal Family.
Middleton and William are parents to Prince George (10 years old), Princess Charlotte (8 years old) and Prince Louis (5 years old).
The princess revealed her illness weeks after undergoing abdominal surgery that took her away from her official activities. Without giving more information about the cancer, its current stage and which organ was affected, she released a video reporting that she is undergoing chemotherapy sessions.
