Rio – Camila Pitanga, 46 years old, was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo, after being diagnosed with pneumonia and explained that she discovered the disease after feeling tired.

“I’m fine, I’ll warn you not to alarm anyone, right? A little while ago I started to feel extremely tired, I thought it was a beginning of burnout due to a lot of work and personal issues that demanded a lot from me, being away from home, missing my family… The body couldn’t take it”, she began this Tuesday (26).

When contacted by the report, the actress’s publicist confirmed that she had already been discharged, despite having posted the photo in the hospital.

“During the recordings, the entire attentive and loving team thought it was best for me to rest, recover. Holy days of rest. Parallel to this, they also asked me to take tests to ensure it was ‘just’ tiredness”, he added.

Pitanga carried out several important tests which, little by little, despite some changes, reassured him and ruled out some hypotheses. “We arrived at the diagnosis, asymptomatic pneumonia, that is, without those most expected symptoms: fever, cough or any difficulty breathing.
The pneumonia is fully treated, okay?”, he added.

She explained that many tests were necessary before the diagnosis was made and warned about the importance of always being alert to the body’s signs.

“I would like to highlight something that I did not know. March is “Navy Blue” month, a campaign for the importance of prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer. Colonoscopy in this case is extremely important to detect any abnormality, be it with symptoms or not, hence the need for the exam from the age of 45, as part of your care routine. I have done it and will continue doing it.”, he continued.

She took advantage of the publication to thank all the technical and humanized care provided by doctor Gustavo Andrade de Paulo and his team at Albert Einstein Hospital. “I felt welcomed and cared for. It was very important for me to be able to go through the scare in a more conscious and informed way. Take care of yourselves!”

“My love, I’m glad you’re okay… a huge kiss”, commented Carolina Dieckmann. Lucy Alves, Cris Vianna, Renata Ceribelli and Leo Jaime also wished the actress well.
