Yellow May is a movement created to draw the population’s attention to the high rate of deaths and injuries in traffic, and to highlight the issue of road safety. In addition to mobilizing the entire society to disseminate knowledge and actions that guarantee the safety of drivers and pedestrians. With this in mind, the Icapuí Municipal Traffic Authority (ATMI) promotes another edition of the Yellow May campaign with educational and traffic awareness actions. Marcos Jefesson, director of ATMI, said that “the campaign is a global awareness-raising action, to raise awareness that we take care of ourselves and the safety of our fellow human beings on the road, the objective is a joint action between the Public Authorities and civil society to put the topic of road safety on the agenda, mobilizing the whole of society, involving the most diverse segments to discuss the topic.
