Lavras celebrates National Choro Day with a presentation by Grupo Regra 3 at Casa da Cultura

National Crying Day, celebrated this Tuesday, the 23rd, was marked by the special presentation of the group REGRA 3 which took place at Pátio Homero Faria, at Casa da Cultura.

Grupo Regra 3, recognized for its mastery in interpreting choro and other styles of Brazilian popular music, chose a repertoire made up of 14 songs that enchanted the audience present with their refined technique, emotion and involvement with the country’s musical tradition.

The Group also paid tribute to one of the great masters of the genre, Pixinguinha, whose work influenced and inspired generations of musicians and lovers of Brazilian music.

For Waldir Campos, one of the members of Grupo Regra 3, “it is a great pleasure to celebrate the date paying homage to Pixinguinha who was the one who left a mark on Brazilian popular music”.
