Nun Coen Roshi, 76, revealed that she was diagnosed with skin cancer. The information was disclosed in a video published this Thursday (28) on social media. In good humor, the nun reassured followers, reflected on the current situation and made an emotional comment about the disease.
In a humorous way, the representative of Zen Buddhism in Brazil spoke about the treatment against the disease and stated that it is in a healing process. ‘I’m giving feedback on my treatment. It gets worse before it gets better, you see’, she comments, showing wounds. ‘I said I’m turning into an alligator because this crust is very hard. After becoming an alligator, who knows, maybe I’ll become a fish again, right?’.

She also reassures her followers about the effectiveness of chemotherapy: “It’s just so you know. It works. The treatment is like that and it’s improving. I went to the doctor yesterday and she said: ‘Congratulations’. So, don’t worry.”
Coen’s treatment against skin cancer involves using an ointment on areas with a probable concentration of cancer cells. The substance creates a kind of wound on the site, acting against cancer.
