What to expect from the Super Meteor 650?
With a style reminiscent of the classic Custim, the Super Meteor brings a completely new package, with the exception of the engine inherited from the brand’s other Twins 650. In terms of styling, the bike is like a bigger Meteor 350.
What is expected is that despite the cruiser style, the bike behaves more agile than it appears. The Super Meteor 650 has the already known 648 cc twin-cylinder engine, capable of producing 47 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm. In addition, the 6-speed gearbox has also been rescaled.
Chassis and suspensions
For the new bike, Royal Enfield developed a new chassis for the Super Meteor, which could not have the same configurations seen on its sisters. Its chassis is tubular steel; at the front there is an inverted fork, with 43 mm in diameter, and 120 mm of travel; while at the rear the model has double shock absorbers, with 101 mm of travel.
The tires are Ceat brand, tubeless, measuring 100/90 – 19 M/C 57H (front) and 150/80 B16 M/C 71H (rear), that is, they are mounted on 19 and 17 inch wheels. , respectively. Learn more about the bike in video:
Seat height and tank size
Something always important for a roadster is its tank size: it is 15.7 liters. As a whole, the Super Meteor 650 weighs 241 kg and the main measurements are 2,260 mm (length), 1,155 mm (height), 1,500 mm (wheelbase) and 740 mm (seat height).
Brakes and equipment
The Super Meteor 650 is equipped with a 320 mm disc at the front and a 300 mm disc at the rear. Both with ABS system. As equipment, the bike has a USB port, LED headlight and flashlight, Tripper navigation system and USB port. Its panel is round, with a mix of analog and digital, with an LCD screen in the center.
Colors, versions and accessories
The Super Meteor 650 offered abroad has entry-level versions and also the Tourer, more road-going. We still don’t know, however, how it will be made available in Brazil. In terms of color division, with a total of 7 paintings, Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Green and Interstellar Gray are the base option for the Super Meteor, while Celestial Blue and Celestial Red are for the Tourer.
