Inspection seizes more than R$1 million in irregular goods

Teams of auditors from the Secretariat of Economy approached, in the early hours of this Wednesday (1st), several loads without suitable tax documentation. The irregular goods, valued at around R$1 million, were seized on highways and found in transport companies. Among the seized products were drinks, clothing, food and car parts.

Inspection actions on the eve of a holiday rely on tax evaders’ belief that there will be no inspection. “It is important to say that our teams continue to work 24 hours a day, even on holidays and weekends, and are on the roads, highways, at the airport and in transport companies in the DF”, explains the Tax Inspection coordinator, Silvino Nogueira Son.

“The importance of tax inspection in the DF involves combating tax evasion head-on, providing a sense of risk to those who insist on failing to fulfill their tax obligations with the DF Revenue Service”, he adds.

For the Secretary of Economy, Ney Ferraz, the objective is not just to seize goods and fine them. “With this routine action, we want to show that the GDF is on the streets working to ensure that taxes are collected within the law, without harming those taxpayers who are up to date with the tax authorities”, he reinforces.

⇒ Truck with cosmetics (soaps, colognes, deodorants, oils, hair kit, etc.) without invoice: cargo valued at R$ 700 thousand. Vehicle approached in Ceilândia;

⇒ Truck with alcoholic beverages (36 thousand units of beer and 2016 units of cachaça without receipt): cargo valued at R$ 110 thousand. Truck approached in Sobradinho;

⇒ Fish with an unsuitable invoice covered by BR-060. Values ​​being calculated;

⇒ Automotive products (tires and headlights) with unreliable invoice. Values ​​being calculated;

⇒ Clothing with unreliable invoice. Values ​​being calculated;

⇒ Bags with unsuitable invoices. Values ​​being calculated;

⇒ Tires and headlights with unreliable invoice. Values ​​being calculated.
