Security camera captures unusual scene in traffic in Greater Florianópolis

A security camera captured the moment in which the passenger and then the driver exit a moving car before the vehicle falls into a 6-meter-high embankment in São João Batista, in Greater Florianópolis (watch above). The car got stuck in tree branches before hitting the river, which runs below.

The situation was disclosed by the Military Highway Police (PMRv) on Tuesday (30), and resonates on the internet. The suspicion is that there was a couple fighting.

In the images, you can see the car traveling with the passenger door open. A man gets out with the car still moving. The vehicle stops. The passenger gets up and says something to the driver, then runs across the street.

The driver hits a wall but doesn’t stop.. She makes the maneuver and, in reverse, puts the car back on the road, this time in the opposite direction. Before reaching the man, however, the driver gets out of the moving car and the car falls down the bank.

The man then goes towards the woman, sitting on the floor, and puts his hands on her head.

The scene occurred on Saturday (27), around 3:45 pm, on SC-410 in the Rio do Braço neighborhood, according to PMRv. Firefighters were also at the scene, but those involved had left.

The police are not sure what happened, but they believe the situation was related to a couple fighting. According to the corporation, the suspicion is that the two were arguing before the passenger exits the moving car.

In addition to the PMRv, the Military Fire Department was also called to respond to the case. According to the corporation, witnesses reported seeing the couple fight.

A woman was bleeding from the head, but neither of them accepted help, according to witnesses’ reports to the firefighters. The two left the place and walked away. The vehicle got stuck in trees, before reaching the river at the end of the bank.
