Hamas accomplice photographer is celebrated and his photo wins award

The award surrounding a photo of Shani Louk’s naked corpse, taken by an Associated Press photojournalist during the Hamas attack, sparked outrage.

The Associated Press (AP) news agency won first prize for “Team Picture Story of the Year” thanks to the photograph showing Shani Louk’s half-naked body lying on the back of a pickup truck. Hamas on October 7, after being brutalized and kidnapped at the Nova festival.

The photo that went around the world generated great controversy, as its author, Ali Mahmoud, who was at the scene, is accused of knowing about the attack in advance.

The AP photographer, who accompanied the barbaric jihadists in their October 7 invasion of Israel, received a prestigious photography award and is still being celebrated for taking the photo of Shani Louk’s contorted body, brutalized by the rapist-murderous terrorists. Instead of going to jail for complicity, he will receive a reward.

The Team Picture Story of the Year category rewards the joint work of a team of photographers covering a single subject or event.

Other photos, attributed mainly to AP photographers, depict property damage in Gaza, Palestinians injured or killed, and Israelis grieving or fleeing rocket attacks.

Like Shani Louk’s, many of these photos suggest that the photographers had prior knowledge of the massive attack launched on Israeli soil.

Last month, Louk’s parents and other victims of the Nova massacre sued the AP and Reuters for employing photojournalists who followed the terrorists during the attack.

They alleged that the news agency ignored the photographers’ close ties to terrorist organizations. “We have seen no evidence that independent journalists who contributed to our coverage are guilty of such acts,” the agency responded.
