Amit Soussana is the first Israeli to publicly comment on the Palestinian group’s kidnapping experience

Israeli lawyer Amit Soussana said she was sexually assaulted by a Hamas guard. The report was given in an interview with new York Times, on Tuesday (Mar 26, 2024). Amit was kidnapped by Hamas for 55 days.

The Israeli said that a guard from the group, called Muhammad, forced her to take off her towel after taking a shower, touched her without consent and then assaulted her.

During the interview, the lawyer recalled the place where she was trapped. Amit Soussana stayed in a child’s room decorated with images of the cartoon character SpongeBob.

“He [Muhammad]with the gun pointed at me, forced me to commit a sexual act with him.”said Amit.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz https://twitter.com/Israel_katz/status/1773059159816052964 on her profile on X (formerly Twitter) that the lawyer “she is a national hero who fought fiercely against the terrorists who kidnapped her to Gaza”.

Although Amit Soussana was released on November 30, 2023, Hamas still holds Israeli hostages in Gaza. Because of this, Katz he said that Israel will continue the conflict against the Palestinian group “until the last of those kidnapped returns home.”.

The Israeli Foreign Minister’s statement came after the UN Security Council (United Nations) approved a resolution that determined the ceasefire “immediate” of the conflict between Israel and Hamas during Ramadan.
