Five years after the release of Avengers: Endgame, the film’s directors discuss the return of Iron Man

Avengers: Endgame, the 2nd highest grossing film in cinema history, is still Marvel Studios’ definitive event, a film that brought together as many heroes as possible in the rematch against Thanos.
Avengers: Endgame contains emotional farewells to many Marvel heroes such as Iron Man, captain America and the Black Widow.
And today marks five years since the great Marvel film debuted in cinemas around the world, breaking several records. Anyone who was able to watch the film in the cinema will hardly forget the public’s reaction to Iron Man’s death.
Now there are rumors that Marvel Studios plans to bring back the hero played by Robert Downey Jr., but in an interview with GamesRadar, the directors of Avengers: Endgamethe brothers Joe It is Anthony Russocommented on this possibility:
Anthony: I don’t know how they would do it. I don’t know what the way to do this would be.
Joe: I mean, we closed this book, so it’s up to them to find a way to reopen it.
Although directors are not so confident about Iron Man’s return, Marvel is already doing the same with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
The mutant ended up dying in Logan, a 2017 production, however, thanks to the multiverse, Wolverine is returning this year in the new Deadpool film.

Avengers: Endgame was the last adventure of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and the twenty-second film from Marvel Studios, released in April 2019. It achieved the record for highest-grossing film in the history of cinema in 2019, until losing the position again to Avatar in a 2021 re-release.
Records aside, the film ended The Infinity Saga and marked the end of an era: the first generation of the MCU, which began with the first Iron Man (2008).
The film was once again written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Amid an epic cast, the last time we saw the original Six Avengers on screen was marked: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner.
