Since Rio Grande do Sul began to be affected by the heavy rains of recent days, the Government of Santa Catarina has mobilized to help the neighboring state. By order of Governor Jorginho Mello, the State Secretariats for Civil Protection and Defense, Health and Public Security took action, through the Military, Civil, Scientific and Penal Police, in addition to the Military Fire Department of Santa Catarina. The result is a true task force created to extend a helping hand to our Gaucho brothers.

“It’s a chain of solidarity, support, support, so that we can really help. The battle is not even over yet. The people of Santa Catarina always look the other way, we help, we welcome people. The solidarity we have seen is from businesspeople, traders, ordinary people, simple people taking donations to collection centers. People lost everything, but, with faith in God, we have to react, the Gauchos will react, they are a strong, fearless people and everything we can, we will do. I told Governor Eduardo Leite (of Rio Grande do Sul) – and I have always said – to count on us”, emphasizes Governor Jorginho Mello.
