On the afternoon of last Tuesday (7), the Alagoas Sanitation Company (Casal) reestablished the quality water production service for the village of Tatuamunha, located in Porto de Pedras. The supply had been interrupted on Monday (6) at 9pm due to a failure in the electricity supply, and was only resumed at 5pm the following day.

After solving the electrical problem, Casal resumed its activities and once again supplied treated water to the company Verde Alagoas, responsible for distribution to the local population. The situation was repeated in the municipality of Passo de Camaragibe, where the power outage on Tuesday (7) between 3:30 am and 10:30 am affected the water collection, pumping and treatment system.

With the normalization of electricity supply, Casal was able to resume its operations and transfer the treated water to Verde Alagoas, thus guaranteeing regular supply to the population. The situation was resolved without major disruption, however, highlighting the importance of preventive maintenance and the availability of resources for emergency situations of this type.

It is important to highlight Casal’s diligent work in reestablishing the supply of treated water to the municipalities of Porto de Pedras and Passo de Camaragibe after the temporary interruption due to problems in the electricity supply. The company continues to monitor the situation and work to ensure the continuity of essential services for the local population.
