It engages virtually every muscle group in the body, including arms, legs and abdomen, strengthening them, increasing heart rate and promoting calorie burning.

Main benefits of Burpee

Burpee is an exercise that works several muscle groups simultaneously, including arms, shoulders, legs and hips. By practicing it regularly, there is a significant increase in the strength and resistance of these areas of the body, which contributes to improving general physical conditioning.

Due to its intense nature and the involvement of multiple muscle groups, burpee is highly effective in speeding up metabolism. How to do the exercise correctly

Check out the step-by-step guide to performing the burpee:

  1. Start standing, with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms extended at your sides;
  2. Squat down and place your hands on the floor, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, in front of your feet;
  3. In a quick movement, jump with your feet back, keeping your hands firmly on the floor and assuming a high plank position, with your body aligned;
  4. Perform a full flexion of your arms, keeping your head aligned with your spine;
  5. With a jump, bring your legs back to the starting position, keeping your hands and feet on the floor;
  6. Jump vertically as high as possible, extending your arms upwards;
  7. Return to the starting position and repeat the process;
  8. The number of burpee sets and repetitions can vary depending on each individual’s fitness level.

Generally, it is recommended to perform 3 sets of 30 to 60 seconds, doing as many repetitions as possible in each set.
