The winner of Big Brother Brasil 2024, Davi Brito, raised more than R$70,000 for the victims of the rains in Rio Grande do Sul. The Bahian traveled to the south of the country this Wednesday (8), where he intends to use the amount raised with the help of followers to buy water.
“That night I didn’t sleep well to offer the best to these people. It’s with love and affection, without asking for anything in return, it’s just to help,” he said.
The winner of the reality show announced on Tuesday that he would travel to Rio Grande do Sul. He asked his followers for help to raise R$30,000. The objective was to bring water to the municipality of Canoas, one of the most affected.
“I’m chasing all the markets. So far we’ve managed to close a trailer loaded with water, worth almost R$50,000. We’re after another trailer,” he said.
The situation in Rio Grande do Sul is considered a calamity. With 401 of its 497 municipalities hit by the storm, around 1.4 million people were affected. The number of deaths has already reached 90 and more than 130 are missing.
