Cearense is in charge of a documentary series project about spirituality that will feature Morgan Freeman – Verso

The filmmaker from Ceará Bello Rodrigues is at the forefront of a project that promises to bring different views on topics linked to spirituality and religion. “The Invisible War” will be filmed in countries in North America, South America and Europe and will feature world-renowned interviewees, including actors Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington.

The work will be divided into three episodes and will feature religious figures, in addition to the aforementioned stars, among the guests. The production is expected to finish recording and editing by early 2025, with plans to be made available on streaming next year. Negotiations with different platforms are already underway, according to Bello.

From life trajectories to spiritual warfare

With professional work in audiovisual for 34 years, Bello focused on wedding registrations and also on digital marketing videos. In both performances, she always sought to bring more than just current footage, but attentive monitoring of the life narratives of each person involved, whether a couple or a large businessman.

“I do a study, I dedicate myself, I go to the city where the person is, I spend a week documenting, getting the information stories, the whys, interviewing clients, family members. The most important thing is to show that human being, the person’s own trajectory”, he shares.

Bello, in parallel to his professional work, also dedicated himself to studies dedicated to Bible and themes of spirituality. After reading, taking courses and analyzing various subjects, he took his personal interest forward with the project of an audiovisual work on the subject.

“Several topics are little talked about around the world, but there are experts who develop these topics, both Jews, Catholics, Buddhists and evangelical Christians. Experts and scientists study a lot about the phenomenon that exists among us, between heaven and earth, where a battle between good and evil takes place.”

“When did it appear? Where does it come from? Why does this war exist? Before we existed, we already existed. How does it manifest itself?”, according to Bello, are some of the questions to be reflected in the work.

Bridge with Hollywood

From a bridge with the Malin Entertainment — a production company founded by Brazilian Laura Malin and which provides opportunities for exchanges of national productions with Hollywood, with works such as the religious dramas ” Nosso Lar 2: Os Mensageiros” and “ Kardec ” in the catalog —, the “The Invisible War” project was taking shape .

“I worked a lot for businesspeople, marketing, advertising films, I had a TV show in Fortaleza, I worked with many types of audiovisual formats, but I’m going to debut on streaming, for the first time I’m going to do a personal project“, he celebrates.

Based on the producer’s contacts, between agents and business owners, Hollywood stars“The Invisible War” managed to contact Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington and actors from the cast of the religious series “The Chosen”.

The three episodes are named. “Knowing the Invisible”, “Understanding the Invisible” and “Overcoming the Invisible”

“Why these people? Because they are directly connected with the spiritual world. Morgan Freeman makes many documentaries about the essence of God, he has already made a documentary about the apocalypse. Denzel, in publications, recently said that we are living in a spiritual war”, he explains.

“These are people who have been talking and bringing these facts to light, in addition to other guests who are on our list. It is a international projectworldwide, because we are going to interview people in South America, North America and Europe”, continues Bello.

“The idea is (to bring) the perception of the guy in Europe, the understanding of the American, the perception of the South American. In several places around the world, it is said that Brazil is one of the places of larger opening for this type of topic. From this perspective of a Brazilian, we will see the perceptions of the whole world”, highlights the filmmaker.

Release forecast for 2025

Filming has already started and will continue throughout this year. Among the names guests for the production are Apostle Jesher Cardoso, Prophetess Fernanda Barriviera, Apostle Rony Chavez and pastor Mike Shea.

The director’s forecast is to continue recording and finalizing the documentary by the beginning of 2025, for release in next year. “We are still negotiating with some studios, in the process. There’s no way to say anything yet (the streaming platform), it’s in progress and we have to decide what it’s going to be,” he explains.
