According to the 2023 State Competitiveness Ranking, Acre is the 12th federation unit with the best rate of public investment in Brazil. The index achieved was 9.09%, the third highest in the Northern Region of the country. The study is an initiative of the Public Leadership Center (CLP) and considers, in this specific aspect of the annual survey, the relationship between settled investment and net current revenue.
The indicator is directly linked to the fiscal solidity of the states and evaluates, among other points, the responsibility of fiscal management, such as controlling personnel expenses and the financial capacity of governments to carry out investments in strategic areas, which result in increased productivity. and promoting socioeconomic development.
The axes Infrastructure, Social Sustainability, Public Security, Education, Fiscal Soundness, Efficiency of the Public Machine, Human Capital, Environmental Sustainability, Market Potential and Innovation are taken into consideration at this stage of the research.
According to the Secretary of State for Planning, Ricardo Brandão, the result achieved by Acre is a consequence of the austerity with public accounts and the management’s commitment to the development of Acre. “In recent years, investments with the government’s own resources have increased. With this, we have been able to enhance our actions, especially in the execution of works, which are fundamental for generating employment and income”, he explained.
State Government carries out important works in Acre
