A psychic in Renascer, Inácia (Edvana Carvalho) will sympathize with Teca (Lívia Silva), but will immediately realize that the story of the teenager being pregnant with José Venâncio (Rodrigo Simas) is not true. She will understand that there is something inexplicable behind the young woman’s arrival at the farm, but she will not open up with José Inocêncio (Marcos Palmeira). Teca will gradually discover a supernatural connection with the place. She will think that she has already been to José Inocêncio’s farm and will suffer from the heavy energy in the house that belonged to Belarmino (Antonio Calloni). The mystery must be solved later by Rachid (Almir Sater).
Is Teca related to Maria Santa?
In the original version of the plot, shown in 1993, Teca (Palomma Duarte) was the granddaughter of Marianinha — the sister of Maria Santa (Patrícia França) who was raped and ended up being chased out of the house by her father when she became pregnant.
In the past, the girl’s fate after expulsion was explained by Rachid (Luiz Carlos Arutin). The Lebanese said that he welcomed Marianinha and took over the baby she was expecting. The couple had five children, but the young woman’s firstborn ran away from home and was never seen again.
O Marianinha’s son was precisely Teca’s father. Rachid recognized the girl as soon as he saw her at Inocêncio’s house and dispelled the mystery surrounding her origins.
Renascer was written and created by author Benedito Ruy Barbosa. The first version aired on Globo in 1993. Bruno Luperi is the novelist’s grandson and responsible for adapting the rural saga that premiered in prime time in January. The remake will be on air until September.
