Practicality for removing hair from the brush. Other products have several rows of bristles, which makes cleaning after use difficult. The FURminator only has one and there is a button called FURrejector, which is on the top of the product. When pressed, the accumulated material is pushed forward through a plastic plate, which is behind the bristles. This makes brushing a lot quicker.
Removes even “hidden” hair. The brush, according to the brand, is an “undercoat deshedding”, that is, a tool for removing the undercoat, which is a deeper layer that is difficult to remove with simple brushing. So, whatever is loose or dead will come out with this product. The brand promises to reduce hair loss by 90% with continuous use.
Resistance. The bristles are made of stainless steel, which makes cleaning after use easier and increases durability. We have had this brush for at least four years and have never had any problems.
Well rated product. The FURminator is rated 4.7 on Amazon — on a scale from 1 to 5. In total, more than 9,000 people rated the product and, of those, 81% gave it 5 stars. In the negative ratings, some people understand that the brush is not suitable for certain breeds — such as French bulldogs — or that the bristles are too rough for the animal.
Attention points
Don’t lose the plastic protection. The product comes with a plastic part that must be attached to the steel part after using the FURminator. When not in place, the brush can be damaged when it falls to the floor, breaking one of the teeth — and is subject to weather conditions, such as salt spray.
