The embargo on reviews Stellar Blade ended today and below you can see some of the ratings the title has received.

Stellar Blade will be released on April 26th for PS5. A demo is available.



Digital Foundry

Summary (via ResetEra):

  • Made in Unreal Engine 4, it uses all the typical UE4 features, without ray tracing;
  • Shows good containment to maintain image quality and performance;
  • HDR support, but does not use PS5 system-level calibration;
  • “Extremely smooth”, no loading crashes, unlike other UE4 games like Jedi Survivor;
  • Loading times of a few seconds
  • 3 graphic modes
    • Quality is mostly native 4K 30FPS, sometimes with dynamic resolution drops
    • 1440p 60FPS performance, with dynamic resolution drops at times
    • Balanced is 1080p-1440p 60FPS, but upscaled to 4K.
  • The frame rate in performance mode is basically a perfect 60FPS, 30FPS in quality, and balanced at 50-60FPS and is a great option for VRR monitors.
