A joint action by the Civil and Military Police of Bahia and Pernambuco captured a homicide responsible for the murder of a man in the village of Carnaíba do Sertão, rural area of Juazeiro, in February this year.
The criminal also owns a drug laboratory in Pernambuco. He was captured while making a drug delivery on the Presidente Dutra Bridge, responsible for connecting Juazeiro and Petrolina. The killer was arrested with marijuana, scales, ammunition and a holster.
Police set up blockade for interception
According to the police, information about the man’s movement was passed on to teams from Rondesp Norte and the 5th Military Police Battalion (BPM/Petrolina) who set up a blocking point on the Presidente Dutra Bridge, one of the links between the states of Bahia and Pernambuco.
“He was intercepted in a silver HB20 vehicle with a license plate and, during the approach, after confirming his identity, the teams found hashish, cocaine and the amount of R$231. The man also confessed that he was going to deliver the drug to Lagoa Grande, in the state of PE, and would receive R$1,500 for the service”, detailed delegate Lígia Nunes de Sá, head of the 17th Coorpin.
