Motorola Edge 50 Pro launched with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, 125W charge and competitive price

At an event held in India, Motorola presented the newest Motorola Edge 50 Pro to the local public. The smartphone’s highlight is its Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and also support for fast charging of up to 125W.

Starting with the design, the Edge 50 Pro has a screen with curved edges and a rear with a synthetic leather finish in one of its variants. In addition, there is stereo sound and also IP68 certification against water and dust.

The screen is a 6.7-inch pOLED with 1.5K resolution and support for a 144 Hz refresh rate. This panel also has an integrated fingerprint reader.

To ensure good processing power, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes out of the box with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and works with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage by default.

On the back, there is a 50 MP main camera (OIS), with Motorola highlighting a series of AI features that promise to improve the user’s photos.

The ultrawide camera is 13 MP and there is also a 10 MP telephoto camera capable of offering up to 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, selfies are guaranteed by the 50 MP sensor.

In connectivity, the Edge 50 Pro has a 5G connection, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC for contactless payments.

The battery has 4,500 mAh capacity and supports 125W wired or 50W wireless fast charging, while the operating system is Android 14 and runs under the Hello UI interface.

Motorola promises three major Android updates and four years of security updates, making the Edge 50 Pro reach Android 17.

Announced in two variants in India, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro can now be ordered on the manufacturer’s official website in black, lavender and pearl white.

  • 12 GB + 256 GB – 36,000 rupees (~R$ 2,185)

For now, there is no forecast for the launch of this model on the Brazilian market.
