WhatsApp continues to look for a way to “fix” the mess that the Updates page has become in its Android application. This is because many users did not like the arrival of Channels in this section of the messenger.

In order to respond to feedback from the beta audience, WhatsApp has now released version 2.24.8.6 on the Play Store, changing some elements to make everything simpler.

As the people at WABetaInfo explain, in addition to organizing everything into sections, the application will make this page more dynamic by show friends’ statuses at the top and within thumbnails on this horizontal carousel.

Check out the new design in the examples below:

An interesting point is that WhatsApp must “shrink” the Status section whenever the user has nothing to view. This can be seen in the second image.

These small changes should make the overall experience within the app more dynamic and also resolve complaints about the current status of the Updates page.

For now, the adjustments remain only available to the beta public, but everything indicates that, after releasing the new interface widely, WhatsApp will also be in a “rush” to deliver these new adjustments.
