Savarino was directly involved in four goals for Botafogo in three games: ‘Coach gives us a lot of freedom’

O Botafogo by Artur Jorge took off, with four consecutive victories in the season. One of the names of this sprint is Savarinowho scored two goals and two assists in the team’s last three matches, against Juventude, Universitario and Flamengo.

In last Sunday’s classic, the Venezuelan scored the second goal and provided the pass for the first, in a play rehearsed with Luiz Henrique. After the match at Maracanã, Savarino praised coach Artur Jorge.

– The confidence that the coach transmits to us on the field gives us a lot of freedom. It makes the game flow, and this happened in several passages of the game. We have to continue like this, with our feet on the ground, and make it happen in the next game – said Savarino in the mixed zone of Maracanã.

The black and white number 10 already has five goals and three assists this season and highlighted the quality of Botafogo’s front men.

– Artur Jorge gives us a lot of confidence, our characteristic is to join us up front, be it with Jeffinho, Luiz Henrique, Júnior (Santos), Eduardo who returned from injury… Flamengo is a very strong team, it was a very special game, which gives us confidence to continue ahead, but there is still a long way to go – he said.
