Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was one of the big releases last March, the long-awaited second part of a trilogy announced by Square Enix.

However, some players are having problems platinumizing the game, particularly those who purchased its digital edition. According to Kotaku, since Square Enix released patch 1.020, one of the RPG’s latest side quests – Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop – can only be completed by those who physically purchased the game.

This side quest is not available until you complete the main story events of Chapter 12 in the Gold Saucer, and is the last Side Quest of the campaign.

At a certain point in the mission, you will have to achieve a certain score in the G-Bike arcade simulator. However, no matter how hard you try, the game will not recognize your score, making it impossible to finish the mission.

While the update has apparently broken the game for everyone trying to get this trophy, players with a physical copy can uninstall Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, disconnect their PS5 from the internet, and reinstall the game from the disc. As long as your save was made before the update, the trophy should appear. Digital owners, however, will have to wait until Square resolves the issue.

Have you completed Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
