According to the Brazilian, the adverse result will serve as a lesson and motivation to become a better fighter. It is worth noting that, before facing Smith, the Minas Gerais native was classified by bookmakers as a favorite in the fight, but he wasted the chance to join the top-10 light heavyweight division (93 kg) and change his level in MMA.
